I'm an online junkie. It's also where I work. Thus when I'm not in the office, I look for places on-the-road. The rules I follow. You pick.
1. FREE WiFi, not really a rule, but a necessity. If you rely on Tmobile to work, you'll never make a dime. Thus keep it FREE.
2. AMBIANCE! Hey, you're going to be there all day - maybe longer - so it had better to conducive to your line of work; as well as you.
3. GOOD COFFEE. Is there any other food-group that is more important to the online junkie? I don't think so! Thus, great coffee is a must.
4. FOOD THAT PLEASES. Good food, not just fast food. Good food attracts the types of folks you'll find conducive to good work... mostly.
5. INTERESTING CONVO-HUM: The noise around you should not be too disturbing, but it should be good fodder for your own writing.
6. DENT_FREE PARKING: You will leave your 'steel horse' in the asphalt corral, thus you should not have to worry for its health; or yours.
7. CLARABILITY: It's not a word you will find in a dictionary. It is one you will find necessary to accomplish your tasks. Find it. Use it.
8. ITCH-TO-SCRATCH: If you're writing then it's the seed of your story. If you're an artist, it's the seed to your visual. If you're a suit
... then this many not be for a rule for you. However, if you're a suit and an entrepreneur, this one will bring those new ideas into focus.
